The Columbia River Mental Health Services Foundation was established in 2006. It is a separate non profit organization dedicated to using its funds to support the work of Columbia River Mental Health Services.

Over 4,000 Southwest Washington residents do not have health insurance yet their income level disqualifies them from receiving subsidized health care.

Without treatment, many struggle with mental illness, have difficulty and maintaining employment, and fall into a downward spiral. The entire community suffers from this: through expensive crisis care, supporting separated families, homelessness, overburdened law enforcement and diminished public safety.

Foundation funds help these otherwise ineligible people get and continue the treatment and therapy they need to be positive, productive members of our community. They recover from mental illness and are able to keep jobs and support their families.

Foundation support also helps to enhance the wide range of programs and services delivered through Columbia River Mental Health Services to the over 5,700 individuals of all ages that they serve each year.
