Serving Vulnerable Youth
4Results serves youth ages 7 to 18 with emotional/behavioral disabilities who are receiving mental health services, have a parent in prison, are in foster care or who are enrolled at the Clark County day treatment school, Fir Grove.

 

A Solid Foundation
Columbia River Mental Health Services of Clark County, WA has provided high quality behavioral health services since 1942. It established 4Results in 2000 to directly address the escalating crime rates, drug abuse, and social dysfunction that existed among high-risk youth in Clark County. It is the first mentoring program of its kind in the nation, providing high quality mentoring along with professional services. 4Results helps kids beat the odds and become high functioning members of the community.

Research Outcome Comparison: The Difference is Quality!
National mentoring research shows that fewer than half of relationships established through formal mentoring programs last to their initial commitment (Grossman and Rhodes 2002, Bernstein 2009). Matches that last less than 6 months are found to be more harmful to a child than if they had never had a mentor.

In 2010, 100% of 4Results mentors exceeded their 12-month commitment to the youth they mentor. Our high-quality programming results in an average match length of 3 years and 8 months and has positioned 4Results for formal research, replication and national influence in high-quality mentoring.
